A quick reflection

It is completely appropriate that on the same day my sophomore year of college comes to an end, I'm moving on to another year of my life (it's my birthday today). The past year has taught me so much about myself and about the struggling field I'm hoping to enter. No longer can I get by with being able to outwrite or outreport another job applicant, I'll also have to be able to create eye-catching video and photography. Something I plan to learn and improve upon this summer.

I plan to use my summer internship at The Oakland Press to help better fine tune my journalistic skills in both print and multimedia. Hopefully you will all check back here for my stories and updates from the summer internship, which I hope to publish on at least daily basis. 

On a completely different note I also plan to post more opinions on this site, feel free to disagree and comment, this will include analysis of the current sports and political spectrum. Hopefully my views will at least make you think about the subject for more then a minute, then I'll have done my job.
